Call for Contributions - Extended Deadline

The new submission deadline is 27th of September.

The INTERPRAEVENT Congress in Bergen 2020 calls for contributions from a wide spectrum of stakeholders in the field of natural disaster risk reduction.

We want contributions from scientists, researchers, engineers and students, to policy makers of all levels of administration and other stakeholders, such as civil protection or insurance companies.

Contributions about any constituent part of the integrated natural risk management and governance cycle are welcome.

You are invited to submit either an Extended Abstract or a Paper concerning one of the topics of the conference. Contributions based on practical experience are of priority.

The contribution should clearly demonstrate what new expertise, knowledge and experience has been gained. The objectives, results and conclusions should be clearly described. Please click here to download the call for contributions.

Extended Abstracts

Extended Abstracts are limited to 2 pages and they will be reviewed by the scientific and technical advisory board of INTERPRAEVENT. Your Extended Abstract has to fit the topics of the conference, it must be written in English and satisfy the condition described in the “instructions for authors (Extended Abstracts)” guidelines (click to download), otherwise it may not be considered.

Papers

Papers are limited to 6 to 8 pages and they will be peer reviewed by the scientific and technical advisory board of INTERPRAEVENT. Your Paper has to fit to the topics of the conference, it must be written in English and satisfy the condition described in the “instructions for authors (Papers)” guidelines (click to download), otherwise it may not be considered.

Oral Presentation

The oral presentations for the conference are selected from all accepted Extended Abstracts or Papers. Contributions that are not selected for an oral presentation can be presented as a poster.

Student award

PhD or master students (under 30 years of age and registered at a university) are invited to submit a Paper. Registered student papers will be rated by the scientific and technical board before the congress. Five of them are selected and the students are invited (free conference access, including reception and accommodation and contribution to travel costs) for a presentation at the conference. The best presentation is selected by the conference participants and awarded with 3’000 Euro. Please click here to read more about the student award.
